Each year, devotees from Gujarat celebrate Diwali and Gujarati New Year in Swami's presence. This year, they organized two programmes: folk music and a skit.
The first programme was Radhiyali folk dance by the Gujarat youth from SSSVIP (Sri Sathya Sai Village Integrated Programme) village Rajupura. The soul of Gujarat folk culture is Ras Garba, consisting of a folk song called Radhiyali, which pays gratitude to Bhagawan for the prosperity and happiness of the village. The presentation of Ras Garba is an Expression of Joy and Gratitude to The Lord for being the Charioteer in this journey, leading us from darkness to light.
Then, the children from Gujarat put on a play titled, "The Child is the Father of Man". This play was an attempt to present the perception of the world of adults through the pure, innocent eyes of a child, Krish. Krish is an elevated soul seeking a worthy companion. His earnest quest leads him to his soul friend, Sai Girdhar, a student of Sri Sathya Sai school.
